学校简介

太平洋路德大学(简称PLU )创立于1890年。原创始团体的大部分队员为斯堪的纳维亚半岛(包括北欧的挪威、瑞典、丹麦、有时还包括芬兰、冰岛、法罗群岛)移民。太平洋路德大学不但注重学生的人文学科的综合培养，同时还注重专业化的筹备。据悉，美国新闻与世界报道周刊的”最好大学“的年度调查指出，PLU为每年名列华盛顿州西部顶尖院校前20名的学校。大多数国际生能获取奖学金。PLU坐落在塔科马港市的安静郊区。塔科马是华盛顿州的第三大城市，其中包含200,000多居民。从PLU到华盛顿洲的著名城市西雅图的车程大约为40分钟，到首府奥林匹亚需30分钟。气候相对宜人，城市降雪量较少。
